Susan Halliwell, Artistic Director
Susan began her career as a performer at the age of four. She has toured professionally onstage, has created and managed New England Repertory Company, and has raised four children, three of whom are currently working actors in Hollywood. Susan began TPTC’s summer workshop 22 years ago to create an opportunity for gifted young performers to showcase their talent. During the school year, she coaches acting and vocal performance locally and in Los Angeles.
David Halliwell, Founding Director
David has worked in theater locally for the last forty-one years. He has directed at Polka Dot Playhouse, Downtown Cabaret Theater, Fairfield and Sacred Heart Universities as well as many regional theaters. He has been Drama Director for the Monroe Middle School Campus since 1976, and has directed over 30 productions for the local community.
Judy Abbatiello, Choreographer
Judy has performed throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. A graduate of the New York’s High School of Performing Arts—the “Fame” school—she was a featured dancer and singer in numerous shows. Judy has choreographed many shows for New England Repertory Company, Downtown Cabaret, Polka Dot Playhouse, Wilton Playshop, and other regional theaters. She founded Monroe Dance Academy in 1983.
Larry Pisani, Interim Executive Director
Larry has been an active presence in the arts throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. Prior to serving on their Board, Larry had performed, stage managed and ran tech for Two Planks since their inaugural Arts in the Parks production of Chicago. A technical professional his entire life, Larry has always seen the creative link between the arts and sciences. He is a past president of SoNo Arts Celebration, Inc. in South Norwalk. He has worked in improv, entertained as a clown and juggled in Central Park. Larry’s stage work includes Polka Dot Playhouse, the Downtown Cabaret Theater, a New England tour of Connecticut Ballet Theater’s The Nutcracker, as well as roles throughout many local regional theaters. His experience includes performance, production, promotion, and organizational management in theater as well as visual and performance arts festivals.
