chicago-logoIn the summer 2014, Two Planks Theater Company returned to its roots with its first, new Main Stage production:  Chicago.  As the curtain rose on all that jazzTPTC ushered in a new era of regional, professional theater for southwestern Connecticut.

The performances of Chicago also began a new partnership for Two Planks with its home town of Monroe as Summer Theater in the Park debuted outdoors, under the stars, in Monroe’s very own Wolfe Park.

TGlassMenageriehen, in the fall of 2014, Two Planks followed up on its summer success by launching its very first production of its 2014-2015  Main Stage Season.  TPTC opened with Tennessee Williams’ timeless classic, The Glass Menagerie, as it ushered in a new era of live theater in Monroe.

Two Planks was also excited to launch a new partnership and move into a new home, as it began a producing arrangement with the United Methodist Church of Monroe to perform out of their facilities.

NextToNormalLogoWebAfter overcoming some hurdles from being a relatively new company, Two Planks followed in the spring of 2015 by presenting Next to Normal to theater goers from across the region.

With the production of this Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning show, Two Planks continued its tradition of bringing top-quality entertainment to audiences in the area.

The fall of 2015 brings about Two Planks second, full season.  We look forward to presenting three great shows: DeathTrap, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and The Foreigner.  See our 2015-16 Season page for all the details.
